Scopa
The classic. Captures, sweeps, and the final count on cards, coins, sevens and primiera.
Online, free
Seven Italian card games with the real rules, not simplified ones. Play against the computer or in online rooms with friends, from a phone as easily as from a desktop. No app store, no installer: open the site and play.
The games
Each game has its own engine written from scratch: nothing is adapted from one game to the next.
The classic. Captures, sweeps, and the final count on cards, coins, sevens and primiera.
Forty cards dealt at once, four players, two partnerships. The calculation game par excellence.
Scoring in thirds of a point, obligation to follow suit, declarations. The most technical of the set.
Two or four players, with the trump suit overturning every hierarchy.
A fast variant of Scopa where an ace sweeps the entire table.
Steal your opponents' piles: the game can change hands right up to the last card.
The Ligurian variant of Scopa, with hand points, the "bussa" call and declarations.
How you play
Create a room, send the link on WhatsApp and play two or four handed. Moves arrive straight away, with nothing to reload, and whoever joins needs to install nothing to get started.
If your connection drops or you put the phone away for a minute, come back and the game is exactly where you left it: the cards in your hand, the tricks taken, whose turn it is.
Scopa, Tre Sette and Cirulla have rulebooks full of exceptions, and arguing about the score at the end is half the fun — right up until it is the program that gets it wrong. Here the counting is done for you, the same way every time: cards, coins, the seven of coins, primiera, declarations, the "bussa" call. Nobody can cheat, not even by accident.
On a phone it goes onto the home screen and behaves like an app from there: full screen, with its own icon. Nothing to download, no updates to install, no space taken up. And if you would rather play on a computer, it is the same address.
Why it is here
A card game looks a long way from industrial plant software. It is the same craft: taking a rulebook full of exceptions and turning it into a system that never gets the count wrong, in front of users who notice immediately when it does.
It is also the project where I hold every piece myself: development, server, domain, search indexing, updates. It is the most direct demonstration of how I work.

The game is free and needs no account to play against the computer. If what you need is software that carries your own process, the form is right here.
